14" tall, adorable, "Betsy McCall" by Ideal, c.1952-53, designed by Bernard Lipfert from McCall magazine's paper doll. One of the best we've ever had, she has thick brunette (saran) hair, brown sleep eyes, cute perky smile and good coloring. Her hard plastic body is marked: Ideal Doll/P 90 and her vinyl head is marked: McCall Corp. She wears her ORIGINAL red cotton dress with black grosgrain belt, white collar and cuffs, button trimmed collar, attached slip and original matching panties, red felt boots (replaced?). Generally excellent condition. See #3943 for her twin sister. Such a cute doll!
