10 1/2" tall, wonderful, EARLY wax shoulderhead man with a molded-on, green hat and fully exposed ears. This little doll could probably be dressed as either a man or a woman. But he is costumed as a man and looks great this way. He wears a white shirt and tie with black trousers & matching jacket. His body is cloth with long wooden arms and legs with flat-soled, wooden shoes in the manner of the earlier papiermache dolls. One eye has been professionally replaced is is quite unnoticeable. Excellent conditon, c.1860, very rare to find in this state of preservation.
