Adorable, antique all-bisque child attached to a bisque swing (measuring about 3 1/2" long in the seated position). He is wearing a molded-on sailor outfit consisting of pale blue knee britches and a white shirt gathered at the waist and having a blue sailor collar. He has curly, light brown molded hair beneath his large blue sailor hat, matching blue shoes, beautifully painted features with excellent color to his chubby cheeks. Seated on a "wooden" swing, his chubby hands firmly grip the original, pink,braid rope with tassels. Marked only with incised numbers on the base of the seat, excellent condition, c.1890, Germany.
