Unusual version of the "Wide-Awake" doll and (see #2342 for compo. version) described on p. 269, "All-Bisque and Half-Bisque Dolls"-Angione, standing 4 1/2" tall, this cute all-bisque character boy is of very fine quality with stiff legs and jointed arms, BARE FEET (well detailed), c.1914 with open/closed, grinning mouth with two upper teeth, side-glancing, detailed eyes, molded & painted tufts of brown hair over each ear and at forehead, lots of brush stroke detail all over and at the back, super coloring. No incised marks, but exactly the same mold as Angione explains. Great item.
