5" tall, all-bisque, CHARACTER boy incised: THE/WIDE-AWAKE/DOLL/REGISTERED/ GERMANY, a very fine quality bisque doll with stiff legs and jointed arms, molded-on and painted blue, knit socks and black, flat-soled slippers with single straps, c.1914. He has an open/closed, grinning mouth with two tiny teeth showing, side-glancing eyes with good detail, molded & painted tufts of light brown hair, excellent coloring.
