18" tall, very nice example of a very limited production, antique bisque shoulderhead girl, c.1918-21, only. She is incised: FULPER/Made In USA/ S-9 1/2 etc. and has lovely, blue glass, sleep eyes, upper & lower painted lashes, multi-stroke brows, an open mouth with outline, two upper teeth and molded tongue and nice cheek blush. Her body is a wonderful antique cloth (commercially made one) with small waist and original limbs (leather arms) and sewn-on black stockings, charming attached fitted corset, antique pale blue dress with bustle, replaced long auburn wig. Excellent condition. Since Fulper made doll heads for a short period when imports from Germany were stopped many stores carried only the heads and cloth or kid bodies were used. This body is an exceptional one, probably from a fashion china.
