Beautiful, 23" tall, antique bisque sockethead girl incised only: G & S over 5 Germany. Excellent quality bisque similar to dolls by Simon & Halbig. She has lovely, sleep blue glass eyes with thick eyelashes that exactly match her brows and her (replaced) fine quality wig in curls with thick bangs. Her open mouth has outlined lips with teeth, molded and painted, muti-stroke brows, pretty coloring. Her excellent quality wood and composition body has ball-joints at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees (perfect original finish that has not been repainted) and she wears a charming, two-piece, burgandy and black satin, fitted walking suit, fully lined, with black trim and lots of detail over her antique slip-needs shoes and socks. Excellent condition on this seldom found maker's doll.
