27" long, EARLY, commercially made, print cloth girl doll, c.1892.Age soil. Wonderfully detailed facial features with large, brown eyes, and long upper and lower lashes, delicate nose and mouth with shading, blond curly hair with a red bow on the left side. Her head is more pointed than the later cloth dolls. She wears brown, printed-on, lace edged undies with a button placket in the front and buttons at the back for the drop seat. Ribbons run thru the lace edging, red one-strap shoes with yellow soles, white socks. Possibly by Arnold. Good condition, some face soil and three, very neatly done, old cloth reinforcements (one under each arm and the crotch). Wears antique cotton dress with wonderful, red wool cape with hood. Folky.
