Adorable, 14" long, all printed cloth, c.1936-38, "Sweets" novelty doll, designed by Maud Tousey Fangel with beautiful printed baby face (as depicted in her many drawings of that period). She has curly blond hair and large blue eyes and eyelashes with excellent, lifelike detail, signed: M.T.F. cprt. and wears her complete, original flower-print outfit with matching skirt and bonnet with yellow ribbon ties, has mitt-type hands and shaped feet, as described on pages 27-28, "Cloth Dolls"-Judd and is in very good condition. Very hard to find doll by Georgene Averill Mfg. Corp.
