8" tall, very sweet, portrait character child, "HANSI", with fine quality celluloid sockethead incised: Hansi 2/0 WZ for Wagner & Zetzsche, Germany. With deeply molded, side-swept hair, intaglio eyes, closed mouth, dimples and rosey cheeks her jointed arms are the same solid quality celluloid and her wonderful pink twill torso and jointed legs are solid-stuffed and spotless. These portrait children, Hansi, Harold and Inge were made in the likeness of the children of Max Zetzshe, c.1915. See page 79, "A Century of Celluloid Dolls"-Buchholz as well as page 382, 9th Blue Book for more information. She wears her original costume of the Netherlands, a black cotton blouse with flower-printed bodice & trim, heavy cotton striped skirt and long apron with matching flower print, panties and boots. Excellent.
