Wonderful, hard to-find-size, 11 1/2" tall, wood segmented comic character, "Pete the Pup", designed by Joseph L. Kallus, c.1932, with large, composition head with huge, side-glancing eyes, big smile, round red nose and folded ears. He wears green painted sweater with black pants, dull red shoes and yellow mitts and is in generally excellent condition with full red LABEL on his chest: "PETE"/Designed and copyright by J.L.Kallus. Very slight paint wear to nose and ears, some very light (faint) paint crazing on his forehead. Completely posable character that stands well and a perfect companion for "Kewpie", Scootles", "Joy", "Betty Boop", "Margie", "Pinkie", "Bimbo", and "Felix" the cat, other segmented characters of the same era.
