Very DECO, elegant boudoir lady, c.1920, made of gesso or heavy composition for the French market, she has an aquiline-shaped face with long, slender throat with dramatically painted features including mauve eyeshadow, deep pink cheek color and large, side-glancing eyes, thick eyeliner and brows. She has her original, lovely blond mohair wig styled in an upsweep. Her torso ends just below her well-shaped breasts. Her elegant, long arms with beautifully shaped hands are of fine quality bisque (incised: Germany) with the original wires inserted into the shoulder joints that make her somewhat poseable. She needs to be attached to a large cushion or small pillow to be displayed properly and will make a wonderful addition to any boudoir collection. Very good overall condition with just slight wear to the paint along her chin and tip of nose (easily touched up). She measures 5 1/4" tall.
