14" tall, painted bisque sockethead lady with sleep, blue glass eyes, open mouth with row of tiny teeth, nice eyeshadow and good facial detail, side- parted, curly, bobbed hair (orig.). Head incised 407 10/0 Germany. Very nice example of the lady or FLAPPER type doll sometimes called the teen body-type as she has very long, slender arms and slim legs with molded-on and painted, hi-heeled slippers and stockings and a fashion figure, slant hip joints, body stamped Germany. Antique white dress. A lovely doll and very difficult to find model number, c.1910-1920.
