17 1/2" tall, (rare size) c.1930-40s by the Eugenia Doll Co., New York, USA composition girl with distinctive character face as shown on page 94, Polly Judd's "Compo Dolls". She has adorable expression with closed, smiling mouth, dimples, rare, BROWN sleep eyes with real hair lashes, unusually painted lashes and brows as described, pretty coloring, original, thick, brown mohair wig in curls, adorable navy cotton dress with smocking, eyelet collar, full cotton slip, panaties, socks & white shoes with snaps. She is marked on 17 on her back and has a clean knee reglue (under skirt). One side seam under the wig, behind the ear has started to open-no harm. This is a sweetheart of a doll-looks a bit like the later Betsy McCall. See also pages 124-5, "Modern Coll. Dolls"-Smith, 8th series for pictures.
