14" tall, very hard to find, c.1957-59, "Miss America" doll, MINT-IN-BOX, by Sayco Doll Corp. (see Judd's book-"Glamour Dolls"). This version & size is not pictured but looks like the 18" version on page 202. This is a much prettier doll than the one pictured with very much the look of Miss Revlon. She has vivid color, with rooted dark brown short hair, sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, molded upper lashes, closed mouth, pierced ears with dangle earrings, hi-heel shaped feet with gold sparkle heels, nylons with back seam, long white brocade dress with silver trim, attached stiff slip with tulle trim, red velvet, satin lined cape with rhinestone trim & fur collar, silver ties, long purple and silver "Miss America" banner, silver crown. Fully labeled "Miss America", red white & blue box with gold crown. There's even another identifying label oon the end of the box. RARE doll.
