7 1/4" tall, unusual, antique bisque, sockethead, googly-eyed character boy incised: Germany/323/A 11/0 M with originally set, side-glancing brown glass eyes, pug nose and closed (watermelon, smiling) mouth. He has a very impish look and unusual five-piece (bisque or fired clay-type), sturdy body with molded and painted-on black shoes and striped socks, one hand is molded to hold something, original clothing: black wool pants, red shirt, blue jacket and tie. Good overall condition except that he has some face rubs (done in the making), replaced wig and there is some crazing on the legs (nothing distracting or needing repair). Really a neat looking (rare) little guy!
