16" tall, all cloth, early, Madame Alexander, "Little Women", MEG or MARME, c.1930-36, in original clothing. She is part of the complete set (our items #2824, 3633, 3669 and 4443, sold) and extremely hard to find with original, long brown mohair wig in braids (should be pinned up on her head), pretty, brown painted, side-glancing eyes and painted lips. Her body is pink muslin with mitt-type hands and a swivel head with pressed felt mask face. She wears all her original clothing: long white cotton pantaloons with ruffle trim and attached, long matching slip beneath her sweet dress trimmed with several rows of red ribbon, long puff sleeves, knit socks. Good overall condition with tiny rub one one cheek, chin and nose, one hand shows a little wear, some of the ribbon trim could be replaced (some fraying), otherwise good, clean. Such a hard to find early Alexander! We also have a wonderful, 1982 color calendar, "A World of Alexander Dolls" (showing this early cloth set with sisters, Beth, Jo and Amy) available for ten dollars separately or free with purchase of this "Meg" doll.
