13" long, all stockinette cloth Chase baby with extra joints at the elbows and knees. This is an early version that has had good quality repainting over the years (still true to its original oil painted style). He/she has the separate thumbs and ear holes, blond texture-painted hair, molded and applied ears, large blue eyes with the thick upper lashes, red painted nostrils and rosey cheeks, no clothing. Charming baby doll, preserved nicely, with lots of American history that will fit wonderfully in a cabinet or held by a much larger doll. Made by Martha Chase of Pawtucket, R.I.
