22" long, beautiful bisque character baby by Porzellanfabrik Mengersgereuth of Thuringia, Germany incised: P. M. 914. 10. Nice, chunky, seldom found size boy with lovely bisque and coloring, large, sleep blue, threaded glass eyes* with finely painted upper and lower lashes, open mouth with molded tongue and one upper tooth (needs one more), multi-stroke, quizzical brows, double chin and three soft dimples. Has his original five-piece compo and mache body with good fingers & toes (some finish chipping around one ankle) covered by his adorable, black velvet, two-piece suit with black braid trim and matching velvet tam, white seersucker shirt & lovely, old soft leather booties. Also has the covered voice box area of the early babies (no voice box inside, though, as these wear out), beautiful auburn baby wig. *look fine but need new plaster to hold in place. Big, life-size baby will fill carriage or cradle.
