10 1/2" tall,, very UNUSUAL, PAIR of Steiff-type, felt, CHARACTER TWINS, one having brown glass eyes and the other blue eyes. They are jointed at the shoulders and hips with rounded metal buttons, have fur-type wigs and stuffed bodies with slightly curved arms and straight legs, molded/painted features. They have non-working squeekers in their tummys and the heads swivel but have been sewn in place. They have attached, felt, Steiff-like, ears (one ear missing), straw filled. Really different, early characters. Price is for one or the pair for $235. Awfully cute pair. Possibly early Norah Wellings babies or by CHAD VALLEY. They wear cute vintage clothing, although shown undressed to view their construction.
