20" tall, Extremely RARE, all composition, Effanbee, "American Portrait Children Series", c.1936-39, GLORIA ANN, designed by Dewees Cochran with closed mouth, brown sleep eyes (need oil) and original, medium brown, human hair wig (long and wavy with thick bangs that match her real eyelashes). She is marked on her head: American Children and across her shoulders: Effanbee/ Ann-Shirley. She wears a pretty pink knitted ice-skating outfit with blue trim with full skirt, pink pearl buttons and short sleeves, matching panties hat and muff for her hands (pinkie finger is missing on one hand). Wears original metal, Effanbee "heart" bracelet, original pink leatherette shoes and socks. Very sweet and hard to find doll with some fine paint craze lines (paint flakes on the hand and inside arms at shoulder). Otherwise good. See her sister, also, our item #4916.
