17" tall, wonderful, early creche figure of a blackamoor man with extremely well defined facial features and black curly, molded hair, molded earrings, glass eyes, very ethnic features with pleasing expression, finely molded hands with several fingers broken, long ago, wonderful carved or molded, orange boots with gold molded tassels, black ruching, black complexioned legs on hemp covered, original body, original, silk and braid costume and carries unusual shaped basket around neck. Complete with UFDC red, second place, 1978, Les Enfants D'Antan ribbon. Excellent condition.
