Charming, SET OF FIVE, all original, c.1946, "Little Women", pink china shoulderhead girls, designed by Herbert Johnson and made by Ruth Gibbs in Flemington, N.J. Each little girl has pretty painted features and molded and painted hair (one blond, one black and three brown). Each doll also has gold painted slippers, china arms and legs and her complete, original costume including slips and pantaloons. "Jo" carries her original book and "Amy" her original pencil on a red ribbon to match her dress and bonnet, "Beth" and "Meg" also wear original bonnets to match their costumes. "Marme" has a fancy apron on her gown. Complete set in excellent condition except for some shelf dust and some fraying of the net slip and petticoats. Each is 7" tall and signed on the shoulderpla e: "R.G." We also now have the large, rare, "Little Women" doll to this set. See item #4800.
