11 3/4" long, black haired, boy-style, china infant, circa 1850 with finely brush stroked hair and detailed ears, SWIVEL NECK and CHINA MOTSCHMANN-type body with pink toned (lustre) upper and lower torso, china lower arms and detailed lower legs (all incised 3). The upper torso is not a shoulderplate in that it is complete under the attached arms and much more rounded as is the lower torso. There is a cloth mid-section housing a working bellows and cloth upper arms and legs attaching the china extremities. His delicate features are very child-like with red lid lines, eye corner dots & nostril circles, faint pink blush, big blue eyes, brush stroked hair all across the face, kid lined neck joint-cloth parts may have been slip covered long ago. Some fingers and toes probably touched up expertly, faint, tight hairline on hip, 2 very tiny nicks at neck.EXTREMELY RARE EXAMPLE.See"Chinas"-Borger
