10" tall, painted bisque sockethead girl with sleep, blue glass eyes, open mouth with tiny teeth and soft, brown mohair wig on 5-pc. original mache body. She is totally original including her detailed, ethnic costume and and large black bow headdress. She wears a blue cotton skirt with white drawers and stockings and black shoes, white pleated, long apron and matching pleated blouse with red vest and decorated sash, lace trim and gold cross around neck, incised: Armand Marseille/390/Germany/A.11/0M. Excellent condition, circa 1890. Such a great cabitet-size and a wonderful addition to an antique international series.
