Adorable PAIR of 9" tall, cloth-over-wire-armature figures, c.1930's, elderly French peasants, each wearing charming regional costumes. He leans on a cane and has his arm around her while she holds her knitting. He wears a knitted cap, she a long plaid kerchief, both have the traditional molded wooden shoes and have needle stitched, sculptured and painted features, grey hair. Excellent condition-great price for the pair. Probably by Bernard Ravca, Paris & New York.
