19 1/2" tall, all composition, c.1930s, SANTA CLAUS with wonderfully molded and painted red cap, thickly molded beard, brows, finely molded and painted features and mustache. Attributed to Effanbee on page 223,* "Doll Values"- Pat Smith and exactly as pictured with original red suit trimmed with white felt, matching red cap with white trim (covers molded cap with white trim), molded and painted black boots, black leatherette belt with buckle and he carries original, matching red cloth sack of toys, jointed at shoulders and having a swivel head. Excellent condition with some paint crazing on the head seam (in the beard, not noticable). *book value-$1000.
