15 1/2" tall, antique bisque sockethead child incised: Made in Germany BSW inside a heart/34 with sleep, blue glass eyes (rocker has been reset so as not to sleep, could be changed), incised lids, long lower lashes, sweet open mouth with row of tiny teeth and tongue, pretty coloring, multi-stroke brows, original, lovely hand-tied wig of human hair, soft brown curls with center part, original composition and wood jointed body (may have been repainted long ago), joints at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees with straight wrists, lovely long gown with red skirt, white pique top having a green velveteen inset vest with trim-sweet faced child dressed for holidays and in excellent condition. Hard to find German doll maker, c.1920.
