Large, 28" long, 14 1/2" head circumference (beneath her wig) early, German composition shoulderhead (papiermache), called Patent Washable Dolls as shown on page 143, Doll Value, 12th edition,-Foulke. She has lovely color- no retouch, no repairs, with huge brown glass eyes and finely painted upper & lower lashes with matching, multi-stroke brows, closed mouth and dimple in her chin, solid dome head with long brown, human hair wig, cloth body cloth legs having shaped feet, horsehair stuffed arms & hands are primitive type and somewhat worn, altho original. She wears her original cotton pantaloons, long shirt and dark red, calico printed cotton prairie dress. Excellent condition except for a small dent under her wig. She's the kind you see in museum exhibits & postcards sitting in an old rocker. CHARMING! (you might want to lengthen or refill her arms). This photo doesn't do her justice. We have others.
