16" long, with 12 1/2" head circumference, very RARE, flange-neck character baby by Arthur Schoenau* (before joining with Carl Hoffmeister) . Perfect head incised: M. B. Germany 500/4, c.1896. He has a very unusually detailed mouth with molded-in tongue and two very tiny molded-in pearly teeth and a molded-in tongue, faintly molded hair, which is a lovely sandy color. His body is the original pink cloth one with bent legs and a non-working cryer and the most UNUSUAL feet with tiny individual pink toes, original perfect celluloid hands. *See p. 276, "German Doll Encyclopedia"-Cieslik.
