5 1/2" tall, all-bisque, character doll, identified as "Cupid" on pages 266 -277, "All-Bisque & Half-Bisque Dolls"-Angione, greatly resembling Kewpie in quality and appearance with hip & shoulder joints incised: Germany P. He has exceptional modeling & painting with light brown painted forelock as well as tufts of painted hair over each ear, molded curls at the back, c. 1916, with side-glancing and high-lighted painted eyes, beautifully dimpled chin and mischievous look, blushed cheeks, very childlike appearance, very cute, wide face. Excellent condition (pin-size nick at back one arm hole).
