16" long, all treated vinyl cloth, Martha Chase BOY, later c.1930s version, from this famous American maker's line of washable dolls. He has lovely, painted features including large brown eyes with hi-lites and lid lines, closed mouth and side-parted, well molded and painted brown hair, nice expression. His arms are slightly bent with individually stitched fingers and toes and he wears his ORIGINAL clothes, a two-piece, white cotton playsuit with blue and white striped wide, collar, cuffs and pocket trim (the two piece button together at the front and back). Charming little lad with just a little bit of wear (not distracting) on each cheek, which does not need to be touched up. Wonderful, cabinet-size boy doll with flat joints at his shoulders and hips. Excellent, clean condition.
