Rare, segmented wood, comic character, c.1920s, SCHOENHUT, "Felix" The Cat with full label on foot: FELIX/copyright-1922, 1924 by/Pat. Sullivan/Pat. Applied for. He stands 8 1/2" to 9 1/2" (with large, black leather ears) tall with his name: FELIX in white across his chest, wood segmented tail measures 5 1/2" long. All original black coloring with white facial features and round black wooden nose, intaglio black eyes, wide grinning mouth and painted whiskers. Excellent condition as seen on page 621, "Collecting Toys" 7th edition-O'Brien.
