Pair of incised: NIPPON, antique all-bisque children (big and small sisters), each with wire-jointed arms and legs. The largest measures 4 1/4" tall, the smaller is 3 1/2 " tall. Each has nicely molded and painted features with blue eyes and closed mouth and a molded and painted blue bow holding her blond molded hair to one side of her face. The big sister has molded and painted, white knit socks with blue bands and blue mary-jane type shoes with small heels and single straps. The little sister has flat-soled blue shoes and no socks. Neither is dressed so you may dress them, both in excellent condition, very cute! This mark (NIPPON) was used only until 1915.
